Local people living in Stonyhurst Road told the ECHO that there was a house party happening in the street last night before the incident occurred.
One neighbour said they later heard what sounded like a car brakes screeching, causing them to ‘jump out of bed’ and look out of the window. They then saw a large commotion, with lots of people gathering as police arrived.
Another added: “‘I went to bed at 11pm, and then a bit later I heard shouting. It wasn’t just a general argument, it was severe, it was really aggressive. Later I saw people standing in the road.”
