Police say they are stepping up patrols in the St Ann’s Square area following the incident on Tuesday morning (April 2), with an investigation underway.

Greater Manchester Police says officers quickly attended, before a man was taken to hospital for treatment.
His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing, GMP says.
No arrests have been made so far and enquiries are ongoing.
GMP says extra officers will be in the area to reassure the public as they continue to investigate the incident.
Inspector Kam Hare, from GMP’s City of Manchester team, said: “We are continuing to work on this incident and extra officers are in the area as enquiries continue.
“As our neighbourhood team progresses this, I would urge anyone with information to come forward.
“Officers are in the area, and they will be more than happy to discuss any issues you may have.”
