A teenager was arrested
Thousands of pounds in cash was found inside a car after a dramatic police chase in Bolton. Officers were on patrol when they came across the car, which they suspected to be ‘cloned’ and bearing false plates.
It ‘failed to stop’, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said, so a pursuit by the officers from the force’s Tactical Vehicle Intercept Unit (TVIU) began.
The driver eventually abandoned the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot but was quickly arrested, the force said.
Following a search of the vehicle, £4,000 in cash was found and seized, and the vehicle was found to be unregistered, GMP said.
An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and money laundering.
He remains in custody for questioning.
