The hidden person watching the aftermath of the limo crash could be a fan favourite
Emmerdale fans believe they’ve rumbled the real identity of the hooded figure that was watching the limo be pulled out of the lake – and it’s Cain Dingle.
During Valentine’s, the village was buzzing with excitement as a raffle took place at the Woolpack – without one prize offering a night in a limo.
Liam Cavanagh had plans to propose to Chas Dingle, and so he purchased the majority of tickets. Unfortunately, it was Kerry who was announced the lucky winner and so Liam had to source another limo for his plan.
As the night arrived, two limos were in situ but neither had a driver. Charity and Caleb offered to chauffeur their respective vehicles and the party was on.
At the last minute, Liam persuaded Mandy to swap with him so that he could be in the ladies limo with Chas. Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worst when Charity veered off the road and into the frozen lake to avoid hitting a spiked Noah.
Three lives were confirmed dead after the crash – Suzy Merton, Leyla Harding and Amy Wyatt. Suzy’s body submerged along with the limo and had to be dredged out of the water later on.
Tracy Metcalfe who was involved in the accident but suffered no injuries, returned to the scene to watch them find Suzy’s body. As she left a voicemail to her ex Nate Robinson detailing what happened, the camera panned across to an unknown hooded individual observing the police gathering evidence.
Some fans previously theorised that whoever it was could’ve been making sure that Nate Robinson’s body wasn’t discovered in the process.
As viewers may remember, Nate “left” the village suddenly last year as he was offered a new job opportunity in Shetland. However, he hasn’t been heard from since and even stopped paying child support for Frankie – the daughter he shares with Tracy.
On the night of the limo crash, however, as Amy was plunged into the water she spotted Nate’s dead body sinking to the bottom, leaving fans to question who killed him and what happened?
Now, while some fans think John Sugden still has something to do with Nate, others have theorised that Cain Dingle was the hooded figure.
On a Reddit thread, u/Lilyscreampuffs wrote: “My mum thinks it’s Cain, and that he’s literally the only one who could have motive to do that to who we think is under the lake… wonder if anyone has any other thoughts? I can’t seeing it being anyone else after she said that”.
u/AffectionateWord7761 replied: “Cain could’ve lost his temper when he believed Nate & Moira were sleeping together, but he would’ve been ruined when the truth came out. Caleb was wearing a hoodie and went out but, he’s already got 2 storylines atm. It’s possible he was only going to the depot.”
As u/No_Potato_4341 argued: “Tbf, part of me still thinks it’s too obvious to be John but idk who else could’ve done it.”
